ការរៀបចំស្ទង់មតិរបស់វិទ្យាស្ថាន NIDA ដើម្បីចង់ដឹងទឹកចិត្តប្រជាជនថៃ ចំពោះរូបខ្ញុំ ហ៊ុន សែន វាបង្ហាញពីការចាប់អារម្មណ៍ខ្លាំង និងផ្តល់តម្លៃចំពោះខ្ញុំទៅវិញទេ។ គួរណាស់ប្រជាជនថៃ នាំគ្នាស្ទង់មតិមេដឹកនាំរបស់ខ្លួនឯងទៅ ដូច្នេះខ្ញុំសូមទូន្មានថា «អ្វីដែលខ្ញុំខ្លាចបំផុតនោះគឺ ប្រជាជនថៃស្រឡាញ់ ហ៊ុន សែន ដែលអាចបង្ហាញពីខ្ញុំក្បត់ជាតិសាសន៍ និងប្រជាជនរបស់ខ្ញុំ ប៉ុន្តែអ្វីដែលខ្ញុំចង់បានបំផុតនោះគឺសត្រូវវាយតម្លៃ ហ៊ុន សែន ក្នុងកម្រិតទាបបំផុត ដែលចំណុចនេះបង្ហាញថា ខ្ញុំកំពុងធ្វើរឿងដ៏ត្រឹមត្រូវចំពោះប្រទេសជាតិ និងប្រជាជនរបស់ខ្ញុំ»៕
I would like to offer an advice to politicians and certain ideological groups in Thailand!
It is highly unusual and rare in the world for a country, while facing confrontation, to instead conduct a public opinion poll on the leader of another country, particularly one it regards as an adversary. This is both laughable and unreasonable. Yet Thailand has managed to do exactly that.
The opinion poll organized by the NIDA Institute to gauge Thai public sentiment toward me, Hun Sen, reveals not just significant interest but a certain value placed on me. However, Thai citizens would do better to conduct opinion polls on their own leaders. Therefore, I wish to advise as follows: “What I fear most is that the Thai people might love Hun Sen because that could make me appear as a traitor to my nation and my people. But what I most desire is for the enemy to evaluate Hun Sen at the lowest possible level because that would prove that I am truly doing the right thing for my country and my people.”
